Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Gleania (the "Service"), an intelligent interview assistant platform. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service
  • You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

2. Description of Service

Gleania provides tools to help job seekers manage their job search, including:

  • Resume upload and AI-powered skill extraction
  • Interview application tracking and timeline management
  • Job listing discovery and fit assessment
  • Gmail integration for identifying interview-related emails
  • AI-powered interview preparation assistance
  • Feedback tracking and analysis

Features may change over time as we improve the Service. We will provide notice of material changes.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including resumes, notes, interview feedback, and other materials ("Your Content").

By submitting content, you grant Gleania a limited, non-exclusive license to:

  • Host, store, and back up Your Content
  • Process Your Content using AI to provide Service features
  • Display Your Content to you within the Service
  • Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the Service

This license exists solely to operate and improve the Service and terminates when you delete Your Content or your account.

4. AI-Powered Features

The Service uses artificial intelligence for various features. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content (fit assessments, skill extraction, recommendations) may contain errors
  • AI suggestions are for informational purposes and should not be relied upon as professional advice
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated information
  • AI processing is performed by third-party providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) subject to their terms

5. Third-Party Integrations

Gmail Integration

If you connect your Gmail account:

  • You authorize the Service to access your Gmail data as described in our Privacy Policy
  • You can disconnect at any time in Settings, which stops future data syncing
  • Our use of Gmail data complies with Google's API Services User Data Policy

Job Board Data

When you provide job listing URLs, the Service may fetch and extract information from those pages. You represent that you have the right to access such content and that your use complies with the applicable job board's terms of service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service (except as permitted)
  • Use the Service to harass, spam, or harm others
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Violate any third party's rights, including intellectual property rights
  • Use the Service to collect data about other users without consent
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Gleania and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

"Gleania" and our logo are trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your needs
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • Any defects will be corrected

Gleania does not provide legal, financial, career, or employment advice. The Service is a tool to help organize your job search, not a guarantee of employment outcomes. Always verify information and consult appropriate professionals when needed.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLEANIA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Job search outcomes or employment decisions
  • Errors in AI-generated content
  • Service interruptions or data loss
  • Third-party actions or content

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gleania and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through the Service settings
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
  • We may terminate the Service with reasonable notice
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately
  • Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Gleania operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

15. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Gleania regarding the Service
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition
